Terms of Service

Dhun.io is an AI music production tool. You can upload audio or have audio generated, and ask an AI producer to work on it — splitting stems, tuning vocals, removing noise, mixing and mastering.

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Features may change as the product develops.

Some parts of Dhun.io are labelled BETA — currently the Advanced editor. Beta features are provided as-is, may change or be withdrawn, and should not be relied on for work you cannot afford to lose. Keep your own copies of anything important.

You must be at least 13, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. If you are under 18 you may use Dhun.io only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app or at https://dhun.io/account/delete.

The free tier includes a fixed number of song generations, stem splits, masters, producer replies and audio-processing runs. It does not expire and there is no clock on it — an allowance you have not used is still there whenever you next open a session. Measuring your mix, arranging, and the full plugin editor are unlimited on the free tier.

A subscription is offered at two levels. Both include unlimited stem separation, mastering, tuning, noise removal, mixing and rendering; they differ in how many producer replies and generated songs are included each month. The current allowance for each level is stated on the pricing page and inside the app before you purchase.

The monthly allowances reset at the start of each calendar month. They are not carried over, and they are not refundable in cash or credit.

We may change these allowances. If a change reduces what your existing subscription includes, we will tell you before it takes effect and you can cancel.

A subscription renews automatically each billing period until cancelled, and you are charged at the start of each period.

On the web, billing is handled by Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-used periods except where the law requires it.

In the iOS and Android apps, billing is handled by Apple or Google at their in-app price, and the subscription is managed and cancelled in your App Store or Play account. Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies — we cannot issue them.

The in-app price is higher than the web price because it absorbs the app stores’ commission. Both are stated before purchase.

If we change the price of a subscription you already hold, we will tell you before it takes effect and you can cancel.

We claim no ownership of your audio. We take no publishing share, no master rights, and no cut of your distribution revenue, on any plan. We grant ourselves only the limited permission needed to store and process your audio in order to run the service for you.

AUDIO YOU BRING. Whatever rights you had in audio you upload, you keep. Processing it here — separating stems, tuning, denoising, mixing, mastering, rendering — does not transfer anything to us and does not change your ownership.

AUDIO GENERATED FROM A PROMPT. This is the part that is not ours to promise, and we would rather say so plainly than let you find out at a distributor. When you ask Dhun to generate music, the request is fulfilled by a third-party model — Suno or Google’s Lyria — and the rights in the result are governed by THAT provider’s terms, which apply to you through us and can change without our involvement. Suno, for example, states that it makes no representation or warranty that any copyright will vest in generated output.

Separately, and regardless of any provider’s terms: under United States law, material generated without human authorship is not eligible for copyright registration. A track produced purely from a prompt may therefore be something nobody owns — which also means nobody can stop someone else using it. Human contribution (your recording, your arrangement, your edits, your performance) can attract copyright in those contributions.

What this means in practice: audio you record and we process is safe to release as your own. Audio generated from a prompt is usable, but do not assume it is exclusively yours, and check the generating provider’s current terms before you release it commercially or register it with a PRO.

We are not your lawyer and this is not legal advice. If the answer matters commercially, get advice on your specific facts.

Generation, transcription and the producer’s replies are delivered using third-party providers named in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those features is also subject to their terms, and their availability is outside our control.

If a provider changes its terms, restricts its service, or becomes unavailable, we may have to change or withdraw the corresponding feature.

You must have the rights to any audio you upload. Do not upload material you do not have permission to use.

Do not use Dhun.io to infringe copyright, to clone or imitate a real person’s voice or likeness without their explicit permission, to generate material that impersonates a real artist, or for anything unlawful.

Do not attempt to disrupt the service, circumvent usage limits, resell access, scrape the service, or access other people’s data.

You may not use Dhun.io if you are subject to United States sanctions or located in an embargoed territory.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

If you believe material on Dhun.io infringes your copyright, send a notice under the DMCA to legal@dhun.io with: your contact details, identification of the work, identification of the material and where it is, a statement of good-faith belief, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorised to act, and your signature.

We will remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we will terminate repeat infringers. You may submit a counter-notice if you believe material was removed in error.

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from audio you upload or distribute, from your breach of these terms, or from your infringement of anyone else’s rights.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that generated audio is original, non-infringing, or eligible for copyright.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data. Our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty United States dollars.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

You may stop using Dhun.io and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice and a period in which to export your audio.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, liability, indemnity, governing law — survive it.

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Dhun.io after that is acceptance; if you do not accept, cancel and delete your account.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest continues in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.

You may not assign these terms. We may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about Dhun.io.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Kitsap County, Washington have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers may bring proceedings in their country of residence where local law gives them that right.
